New Year, New Team and God's Plan for Dutilh Preschool

A new school year is upon us and Dutilh Preschool is beginning this year with a slightly new look! We are welcoming some fresh faces, new ideas and a wonderful team of teachers who are excited to pour into our preschoolers.
While there are some changes this year, our heart and mission remain the same; provide exceptional academic experiences while teaching children to love God, love others, and love to serve.
I am excited to see the work God has in store for us this year and all that He will do through our preschool community. I truly believe that the people God brings together to work with our children are an important part of His plan and I am so thankful for the team He has provided us this year.
In our five-year-old classroom, we are excited to welcome Ms. Lily Chubeck as our lead teacher! Ms. Lily has spent the past three years teaching preschool and brings a wonderful background in early education, child development and family studies. She is also a Seneca Valley graduate making her return to the community as a teacher at Dutilh even more meaningful. Ms. Lily brings enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine love for working with young children. We are so excited to have her join the Dutilh Preschool family and look forward to watching her build relationships with our students and families.
Joining Ms. Lily is Ms. Lori Vargas, who is returning to Dutilh Preschool for her second year as a teaching assistant. Ms. Lori brings a wealth of experience and a calm, nurturing presence to the classroom. We are blessed to have Ms. Lori return for her second year with our preschool team!
Together, Ms. Lily and Ms. Lori are ready for a wonderful year of learning, growing and preparing our five-year-olds not only for kindergarten but for their next big adventure!
This year, I am also excited to be back in the classroom as the lead teacher for our three- and four-year-old classes. The past two years as Director have reminded me just how much I love being with young learners. While I love my role as Director, there is something incredibly special about being in the classroom. Watching children discover something new, celebrating their accomplishments, helping them work through challenges and simply getting to know their little personalities. I am looking forward to getting back to the part of preschool that first captured my heart; teaching and helping young learners grow.
Alongside me this year will be Ms. Elia Honeycutt who is joining our team as the teaching assistant for our three and four year old classes. Ms. Elia is a member of Dutilh Church and is already a familiar face within our church. She serves in several ministries including singing in our praise band on Sunday mornings and working with our youth through Dutilh Student Ministry. We are excited to welcome her into our preschool classrooms and know that her love for children, her heart for serving and her faith will be a wonderful addition to our team.
A new school year always brings excitement, a little nervousness and plenty of anticipation. There will be new friendships, new things to learn, new milestones to celebrate and lots of wonderful memories to create. Most importantly, we are praying that God will guide us throughout this year and give us opportunities each day to show His love to the children and families at Dutilh Preschool.
