Maintenance Manager

Dutilh United Methodist Church is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the care and upkeep of our church campus, including the church building, parsonage, and surrounding grounds. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys facilities management, has strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and values being part of a mission-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance and operations

  • Manage custodial services and outside vendors for landscaping, snow removal, HVAC, and more

  • Handle light carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical repairs

  • Coordinate setups for church events, meetings, and services

  • Ensure property safety, security, and compliance with inspection requirements

  • Support church staff and committees with facility-related needs

  • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, expenses, and vendor contracts

  • Respond to off-hours emergencies as needed

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; trade certification preferred

  • Experience in building maintenance and facility operations

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends

  • Must pass PA background checks (Act 33/34 and FBI clearance)

  • Active Christian faith and willingness to attend Dutilh services at least 4 times per year
