Maintenance Manager
Dutilh United Methodist Church is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the care and upkeep of our church campus, including the church building, parsonage, and surrounding grounds. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys facilities management, has strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and values being part of a mission-driven team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance and operations
Manage custodial services and outside vendors for landscaping, snow removal, HVAC, and more
Handle light carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical repairs
Coordinate setups for church events, meetings, and services
Ensure property safety, security, and compliance with inspection requirements
Support church staff and committees with facility-related needs
Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, expenses, and vendor contracts
Respond to off-hours emergencies as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; trade certification preferred
Experience in building maintenance and facility operations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
Must pass PA background checks (Act 33/34 and FBI clearance)
Active Christian faith and willingness to attend Dutilh services at least 4 times per year
