About DSM
At Dutilh Student Ministry, we’re all about creating a space where students can hit the "reset" button. We know life is loud, so we’ve built a community where you can recharge, find your energy, and dive deeper into your faith.
Here, you aren’t just a face in the crowd—you’re known by name and loved exactly as you are. Our goal is to empower you to follow Jesus alongside mentors who actually "get it." Through real conversations, high-energy worship, and mission trips, we help you navigate the messy middle-school and high-school years. It’s all about discovering the one thing that truly satisfies: a life centered on Jesus.
Series Overview – What are you made for? We’ve all wondered who we are, what makes us unique, and how we’re supposed to make a difference in the world. It’s easy to feel like our interests and talents are just random, but the truth is that God created each of us with a purpose to do amazing things. In this 4-week series from the Old and New Testaments, we’ll see that you’re made to know God and how the things you love might be exactly how God works through you because you’re made to be a light, to lead, and to make a difference.
🔥 Not Just Another Sunday Night...
Do you ever feel like you’re just blending into the crowd? Like you’re following the same script as everyone else?
Being a teenager in 2026 is loud, busy, and—let’s be honest—a little repetitive. But what if you were actually designed to stand out? Not just for the sake of being different, but because you were chosen for something bigger?
📖 Being a Holy Teenager: A Study of James 1
We’re diving into a brand-new 4-part series that flips the script on what "holiness" actually means. Forget the stereotypes of being "boring" or "perfect." True holiness is about being set apart by God for a special purpose.
Join Isaac Parkinson as we break down the book of James and discover how to live with intention, grit, and faith in a world that’s constantly trying to pull you in a thousand different directions.

Friday Night...We will be partnering with Rise Against Hunger to host a meal packaging event. This is a volunteer-based initiative that coordinates the assembly-line packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, and 23 essential vitamins and minerals. The program was created to give dedicated individuals the opportunity to participate in a hands-on international hunger relief program and to become educated, engaged advocates for the world’s hungry. To help defray the cost of meal packing, there will be a $20 fee per student. (Need-based scholarships are available. Please contact Sarah-shogue@dutilhumc.org or Heather - hshoffstall@dutilhumc.org.)
After the meal packing event, there will be a variety of games and activities, food, and a movie. Everyone is invited to bring a snack or a drink to share. Please don't allow students to bring energy drinks.
This summer, our DSM students have an amazing opportunity to serve and grow in faith — in Orlando, FL (June 20–27).
From leading VBS and completing small renovation projects to prayer walks and food distribution, these trips give students a chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus while building lifelong connections.
