With a one-time special gift, you can help Dutilh Church raise $300,000 to pave the way for future growth and expansion.

 

·  $150,000 to pay off the mortgage

o   Significant interest savings

o   Creates room in the budget to hire an Associate Pastor by July 2027

 

·  $75,000 to address HVAC and ventilation
in the kitchen.

o  Excessive heat can pose a safety risk for volunteers

o  Fixes the problem now and for future kitchen expansion

 

·  $40,000 to replace aging windows in the education wing.

o  Reduce heat loss and utility costs

·  $35,000 for contingencies and to replenish capital reserves.

Stewardship Giving Guide

  • We invite you to overflow with generosity as you offer your pledge card for 2027. Through our offerings, we invest in God’s mission and share the love of Christ with our community and world. Our gifts to God are an act of worship, used by God’s Spirit to change lives, transform our community, and renew our church.

  • The Bible teaches that everything belongs to God. Jesus taught about the importance of generosity and sacrifice, and how God will hold us accountable for what we do with our earthly posessions. Giving is an act of worship in which we honor God by putting Him first.  

  • The Bible teaches the spiritual discipline of tithing, giving the first 10% of what we earn to God through the church. For some, giving 10% is a very difficult goal. For others, it is a starting point, and they are able to give more. The important thing is to start somewhere, with the idea that your giving be in proportion to your income, reflect an appropriate offering given your means, and reflect your desire to honor and serve the Lord. If you are not yet tithing, considering taking a step in that direction. For example, if you are currently giving 2%, considering increasing your gift to 3%.

  • We know that every dollar placed in our offering plate is a gift to the Lord, and we use 100% of your gifts to advance the church’s mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ who love God, love others, and love to serve. Here’s a breakdown of how your general fund offerings are used:

    • 36% supports mission and outreach efforts, taking the good news of Jesus beyond the church walls and into
      the world.

    • 22% supports ministries with children
      and youth.

    • 21% supports ministries that help adults grow in their faith.

    • 21% supports the worship ministries of the church.

  • While you can always give to the church without doing so, completing a pledge card is encouraged for two reasons. First, it empowers you to be intentional and prayerful about your offerings to the Lord. Second, it allows our church leaders to be wise in preparing an accurate ministry budget.

    Completed pledge cards should be returned to the church through the offering plate, by mail,  or by online submission by November 22, 2026.

  • We completely understand and we want you to know that you are loved and you matter to God and to our church family. Please be sure to let our pastor or staff know if there is any way we can pray for you or assist through a financial hardship.

There are a variety of ways to Give to Dutilh Church

  • Set up a recurring monthly gift using  Electronic Funds Transfer (see info on the bottom of the commitment card).

  • Place a check or cash in the offering plate during weekly worship.

  • Give online through the Church Center App, which works with ACH bank transfer, Apple Pay, debit, or credit card.

  • Give using your bank’s online banking system.
