Dutilh Church also has supported the Southwest Butler Food Cupboard. This organization’s Amazon Wish List remains active, in case anyone wishes to donate:
Caring for Our Neighbors
Dutilh’s Food Ministry focuses on providing food pantry items in support of local families in need. By creating awareness within our church walls, we can share our blessings with families that are less fortunate. We accomplish this in three ways:
We regularly provide items to three community ministries.
VOICe — is a non-profit emergency crisis shelter that provides a 30-day temporary housing option for women and their minor children who must flee their homes because of domestic violence.
Southwest Butler Food Cupboard — Since 1983, SWBFC has provided food on an as-needed basis. Now, the organization provides a monthly distribution of 7-10 days worth of food.
Unionville UM Chruch Food Pantry — provides quality food items and home goods to households experiencing financial insecurity. This program supplies critical nutrition and hygienic products to individuals and families.
2. In the spring and at Thanksgiving, we have a Food Drive for 25 families identified by the Mars and Seneca Valley school districts who could use some assistance. In addition to a food donation, we provide each family with a gift card to purchase perishable items.
3. Quarterly monetary donations to Gleaners Food Bank and Evans City Food Cupboard support their mission to provide healthier food options for clients, such as fresh dairy, meats, produce, etc.
We are blessed by your generous support of Dutilh's food ministry through your donations to the general fund. The food ministry also makes monetary donations each quarter to Gleaners Food Bank and the Evans City Food Cupboard and supports other area food banks when possible.
